The TSA 500 is a 14" (350mm) battery-powered cut-off machine in the STIHL AP System. Designed for professionals in construction, hardscaping and pipework, it's ideal for processing materials including steel, bricks, concrete, paving stone, natural stone, reinforced concrete and rebar. As part of the AP System, the TSA 500 harnesses the power of two AP batteries to drive its 72-volt motor for exceptional cutting performance.

This cut-off machine comes standard with a powerful 14" / 350mm composite resin cutting wheel that offers very high cutting performance. For longer and more intensive jobs, we recommend upgrading to a D-SB90 diamond cutting wheel.

The TSA 500 delivers cutting performance comparable to the TS 500i petrol cut-off machine, thanks to its impressive mechanical output of up to 4.2 kW. You get petrol-grade performance with all the benefits of battery power: lower vibrations, zero emissions, and no idling between cuts. The narrow cutting kerf, achieved through the absence of engine vibrations, increases precision for accurate results every time and allows a maximum cutting depth of 4.9" (125mm). The adjustable STIHL magnesium guard improves working conditions and reduces operator strain, while its integrated water guide removes dirt in a targeted manner and provides a clear view of the cutting wheel during operation.

The TSA 500 offers excellent ergonomics and easy handling. Its well-balanced design comes from the handle arrangement which, combined with strategic battery and motor placement, reduces operator fatigue. The built-in electronic interface on the control handle displays machine information including charge status and selected working mode (speed levels 1 to 3). As a battery-powered tool, the TSA 500 produces low noise emissions during cutting. It features a powerful EC motor that operates almost wear-free with quiet, smooth running and minimal vibrations, maintaining optimum performance throughout the entire battery charge. The STIHL magnetic filter passes cooling air through several magnets, protecting internal components from metal dust and particles. These magnets are easily removable for quick cleaning, ensuring long service life.

The fast-stop brake recuperates energy back into the battery. After releasing the trigger, the wheel stops in less than 4 seconds, feeding energy from the TSA 500 back into the battery to extend your working time. With zero emissions, the TSA 500 can be used indoors.

The TSA 500 must be used with the AP 500 S battery for maximum performance. Using an AP 200 S or AP 300 S will result in reduced performance. On a full charge with the AP 500 S, the TSA 500 provides 20–40 minutes of working time.
