The STIHL MSA 161 T is a lightweight, professional-grade top-handle cordless chainsaw, ideal for arborists performing precise cuts in the canopy. Weighing just 2.5 kg (without battery), it delivers powerful performance with a low weight for easy handling during aerial work.
This upgraded model features a 40% higher chain speed and 15% more motor performance compared to its predecessor, the MSA 160 T. The low-profile ¼ P chain reduces chatter for smooth, precise cuts, while safety is enhanced with a trigger side-lock button, large throttle interlock lever and carrying ring for secure aerial use.
Battery power ensures quiet operation, eliminating the need for ear protection and allowing work in noise-sensitive areas. Compatible with STIHL AP System batteries (AP 200 S, AP 300 S, AP 500 S), the MSA 161 T can run up to 42 minutes with a fully charged AP 200 S battery, providing the best balance of weight and performance. Larger batteries extend runtime but slightly affect balance.
