The STIHL MS 462 C-M R is a high-powered rescue chainsaw built for the most demanding emergency operations. Delivering 4.4 kW of power from its robust 2-MIX engine, it is ideally suited to fire services, emergency responders and technical rescue teams working in extreme conditions with highly cut-resistant materials.
Designed for control and reliability, the MS 462 C-M R features STIHL M-Tronic engine management with calibration, ensuring optimal engine performance and dependable starting at all times. An additional handle allows fast and precise adjustment of cutting depth, while the large starter grip enables easy operation, even when wearing protective gloves. The controlled-delivery high-performance oil pump provides excellent lubrication under heavy loads, and the HD2 air filter with radial seal ensures long service life. Tool-free fuel caps allow quick, safe refuelling on site.
This rescue chainsaw comes factory-fitted with a Rollomatic ES Rescue guide bar and Rapid Duro Rescue saw chain. The carbide-plated teeth deliver exceptional durability, impact resistance and long-lasting sharpness. It is suitable for cutting wood, roofing materials, aluminium cladding, composite materials and glass. Humped drive links reduce kickback, while the depth limiter enables controlled plunge cutting, prevents over-cutting and enhances operator safety.
