The STIHL KMA 200 R is the most powerful battery-powered KombiMotor in the STIHL range, delivering 12% higher maximum RPM and 50% more power than the KMA 135 R. Designed for professionals handling demanding gardening, landscaping, and maintenance work throughout the day, it combines exceptional output with the practical benefits of battery operation – low noise, no fumes, and minimal vibration.

Powered by a 36V lithium-ion battery, the KMA 200 R is compatible with all STIHL KombiTool attachments, with the exception of the FS-KM and FSB-KM. Attaching and swapping tools is straightforward – insert the tool into the shaft and tighten to secure. For mowing tasks, the KMA 200 R must be used with the FSS-KM grass trimmer attachment, which has a 45cm cutting diameter and meets noise regulations.

The brushless EC motor features variable speed control via the handle, with three preset speed settings – 6,300, 8,200, and 9,500 RPM – to match the task at hand, plus infinitely variable speed for more precise power management. An LED display shows tool status at a glance. The air filter on the housing keeps the motor cool during use, extending service life, and is straightforward to remove and clean.

The loop handle uses a quick-mount system that allows fast height adjustment to suit your working position, reducing fatigue and improving control on slopes, around trees, and across uneven terrain. An adjustable harness point further optimises balance during extended use.

The KMA 200 R is compatible with the full range of STIHL AP batteries. The AP 500 S provides the longest runtime but is also the heaviest – for extended tasks such as hedge trimming, a smaller capacity battery may offer better balance. Working times vary by KombiTool attachment.
