E401 Petrol Scarifier

The Eliet E401 is a ruggedly built petrol scarifier designed for small to medium lawn renovation. Powered by a Honda GP160 5hp engine and engineered to near-indestructible standards, it is a machine regularly trusted in rental fleets — a genuine testament to its durability. The blade shaft sits within a thick steel housing, protecting bystanders from flying debris while maintaining outstanding dethatching performance across a 400 mm working width.

Fourteen fixed blades are mounted in a spiral pattern on the rotor, each with two cutting edges that make two raking motions per revolution. The spiral arrangement ensures blades don't all contact the ground simultaneously, preventing turf damage and delivering maximum efficiency with minimal lawn disruption. Blades are permanently sharp for up to 100 hours of use.

Depth adjustment is dual-action: infinitely variable front wheel height adjustment ensures the blade shaft sits at precisely the correct depth across the full operating width, while the rear wheels offer multiple fixed positions — together allowing the blades to be used until fully worn. Large 20 cm nylon-rimmed wheels with roller bearings handle uneven terrain and resist sandy, dusty conditions.

A 60-litre collection bag with a wide opening fills efficiently and handles the volume of material produced by a thorough dethatching run. A well-sized rubber deflector protects the operator when working without the bag. Folding handles reduce the machine's footprint for storage in a garage, cupboard, or car boot.
