The Mountfield 1638H is a hydrostatic garden tractor powered by a twin-cylinder STIGA engine, paired with a 98cm twin-blade cutting deck and fully hydrostatic transmission for smooth, responsive control throughout the mowing session. Speed is controlled by foot pedal, and blade engagement is electric.
The 240-litre rear grass collector features a buzzer alert when capacity is reached, so you can empty it from the seat without losing track of progress. A mulching plug is included if you prefer to return finely chopped clippings to the lawn as a natural fertiliser. Anti-scalp wheels protect the lawn surface and ensure a consistent cut across uneven ground. The built-in washing link makes deck cleaning straightforward – connect a hose, turn on the water, and engage the blades.
A battery charger, mulching plug, and towing hitch are included as standard, with a range of towed accessories available separately. Backed by a 5-year extended manufacturer’s warranty (T&Cs apply).
