The STIHL KMA 135 R is a professional-grade 36V battery-powered KombiMotor built for demanding gardening, landscaping, and maintenance work throughout the day. Powered by a 36V lithium-ion battery, it delivers quiet, efficient performance across a wide range of tasks – pruning, trimming, mowing, clearing, or cutting – with low noise emissions that make it well suited to noise-sensitive environments such as schools, hospitals, and residential areas.
The KMA 135 R is compatible with all STIHL KombiTool attachments, with the exception of the FSB-KM. Swapping tools is straightforward – insert the tool into the shaft and tighten to secure. The brushless EC motor features variable speed control on the handle, with three preset speed settings to match the task at hand, plus infinitely variable speed for more precise power management. An LED display shows tool status at a glance.
The loop handle provides good control and manoeuvrability on slopes, around trees, and across uneven terrain. The air filter on the housing keeps the motor cool during use, extending service life, and is easy to remove and clean.
The KMA 135 R is compatible with the full range of STIHL AP batteries. The AP 500 S provides the longest runtime but is also the heaviest – for extended tasks such as hedge trimming, a smaller capacity battery may offer better balance. Working times vary by KombiTool attachment.
