The BRA 500 is a battery-powered backpack leaf blower designed with professionals in mind, capable of taking on the toughest clearing jobs during the working day. Part of the AP System, the BRA 500 uses the power of two AP batteries for its 72-volt motor, resulting in an extremely powerful maximum blowing force of 32 Newtons – equivalent to the BR 600 petrol professional backpack blower.

Built for the Most Demanding Jobs

The BRA 500 is ideal for the most demanding cleaning jobs, such as clearing large areas in parks, fields, paths and streets. Its high blowing force means it can blow heavy and wet leaves, grass and hedge trimmings or rubbish with ease. Like all STIHL AP System tools, the BRA 500 delivers constant power output, maintaining its high performance throughout the entire battery charge.

Superior Comfort and Weight Distribution

Whilst the backpack leaf blower weighs 14.5 kg with two AP 500 S batteries inserted, it features excellent weight distribution thanks to the positioning of the batteries and motor snugly against the operator's back. This design is much improved compared to petrol backpack blowers, where the engine is exterior to the fan wheel, resulting in a more comfortable experience for use over long working periods. The carrying system features the same shoulder and weight padding used on the BR 800 petrol backpack blower, ensuring exceptional comfort.

Innovative Noise Reduction

STIHL's innovative noise reduction system is built into the BRA 500, reducing high-frequency noises through low fan RPM and noise insulation. This makes using the BRA 500 around schools, parks or public spaces more pleasant for bystanders.

Durable Design and Smart Controls

An aluminium tube at the base makes carrying the blower to and from the work vehicle easier whilst increasing durability during transport. The built-in electronic interface on the control handle lets you control the speed between Low, Mid, High and Boost modes, and displays useful information including battery charge, cruise control, connectivity and basic diagnostics. The BRA 500 has STIHL Connected built in for enhanced functionality.

Optional Adjustable Round Nozzle

Available separately, the STIHL adjustable round nozzle is a 2-in-1 accessory that lets you easily switch between maximum air volume or maximum air speed when using your tool, helping to remove leaves, lawn clippings and hedge trimmings more effectively.

Battery Performance with 2x AP 500 S

Note: The BRA 500 cannot be used with one battery and must be used with two AP batteries. For the longest working time, we recommend using two AP 500 S batteries.
