The Mountfield 2240H Twin is a hydrostatic garden tractor built for larger lawns, powered by a STIGA ST 650 635cc twin-cylinder engine with smooth hydrostatic transmission controlled by foot pedal. Contra-rotating twin blades deliver a precise, even cut across the 102cm cutting width, with 7 height positions available.
The 320-litre rear-mounted collector handles grass clippings efficiently and doubles as a leaf vacuum in autumn. A buzzer alerts when the collector is full, and it can be emptied from the seat without dismounting. A mulching plug is included if you prefer to return finely chopped clippings to the lawn as a natural fertiliser. The built-in washing link keeps the deck clean and rust-free – connect a hose, turn on the water, and engage the blades.
A battery charger, mulching plug, and towing hitch are included as standard, with a range of towed accessories available separately for year-round use. Backed by a 5-year extended warranty (T&Cs apply).
